BPC Ltd. Fosters First Nations Trades Training
BPC Ltd. is proud to have taken first steps in initiating a training program with our local Canim Lake Band (Tsq'escenmc).
Our goal is to foster and grow interest in the trades within young men and women who we then can train and hire as a part of our BPC Ltd. crew. On October 24th the program will begin with a shop tour for two groups of keen learners with the hope of initiating interest in this line of work within the Band members. After they have completed the shop tour, there will be access to provided training as well as apprenticeships for those members that pursue this opportunity. This will be a lengthily and rewarding process and it is our hope to have people ready and available from our local band for whatever job opportunities may arise.
BPC Ltd. hired two members of the Tahltan Nation for our tradesman crew at the Red Chris mine project. We are pleased to have been a stepping stone for these two gentleman who became full time employees with Imperial metals.
