SCOPE: CONSTRUCTION

BPC was initially contracted to provide commissioning support for mechanical, piping, and scaffolding systems at the Blackwater dry plant while the wet plant was still under construction. Our scope quickly expanded and we assumed full responsibility for mechanical, piping, and scaffolding operations across both the dry and wet plants. BPC ensured the successful commissioning, installation, and quality control of critical systems and equipment to support the operational readiness of both the dry and wet plants.
SCOPE: CONSTRUCTION & MAINTENANCE
DATE: 2014 - ONGOING
Red Chris Mine is located on the traditional unceded territory of the Tahltan First Nation in northwest British Columbia, approximately 80 km south of Dease Lake. Current services include maintenance, turnaround, shutdowns, and special projects.
In 2021, BPC completed new construction including the Core building and Medical Facility. Other notable projects include the fire suppression support system, frost breaker, and stack cell project.
SCOPE: RECOMMISSION & MAINTENANCE
DATE: 2021 - ONGOING
Mount Polley is located in the northern part of the unceded Secwepemc traditional territory. Current services include maintenance, refurbishments, upgrade projects, and shutdowns.
In 2021, BPC supplied all the manpower for the recommissioning of the mine after it had been in care & maintenance for three years. BPC continues to supply manpower for mill maintenance.
SCOPE: RECOMMISSION
DATES: 2022 - 2024
Ascot mine is located in on Nisga'a Nation Treaty Lands in northwest British Columbia.
Ascot mine has been closed since 2001, and BPC was part of the team that recommissioned the mine. Other projects included recommissioning of the water treatment plant, all overland piping, and mill refurbishment and new installations.
SCOPE: MILL DECONSTUCTION
DATE: 2014
BPC completed the removal of SAG Mill & all components, transportation of components, and re-installation at Red Chris Mine (Newmont).
SCOPE: MINE DECONSTRUCTION
DATES: APRIL - JULY 2014
This Lead/Zinc mine had been dormant for over 20 years. BPC removed the mechanical components and supplied all the equipment and tools required. All equipment was removed and shipped to a laydown yard in Watson Lake. Recovered equipment and materials were reinstalled at the Silvertip Mine.
SCOPE: EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION & SUBSEQUENT DECONSTRUCTION
DATES: 2014 - 2016, 2021
BPC completed the in-sequence installation of Mills, Crusher, Floatation and Concentrate components. Silvertip's construction to commissioning in one construction season was an unprecedented time frame for a project of this magnitude.
In 2021, BPC was part of the team that completed the deconstruction of the mine.
BPC is currently seeking skilled workers to join our team. Preferred trades include:
- MILLWRIGHTS
- PIPE FITTERS
- WELDERS
- CRANE OPERATORS
- CLASS 1 DRIVERS (LOWBED)
- PROJECT SUPERVISORS
- TURNAROUND/SHUTDOWN WORKERS
Contractors are preferred (Owner/Operators), but direct employment will be considered for the right candidate.
